LOS ANGELES, Calif., May 13, 2015—Mode Media, the 7th largest media property with 155 million monthly uniques in the U.S. (comScore) and 406 million monthly users worldwide today announced the appointment of Carine Spitz as vice president of sales in the western region.

Spitz is a digital media veteran who joins Mode Media from SheKnows, LLC where she served as the vice president of sales in the West. She began her career in the advertising industry in 2000, leaving her job at global consulting firm, McKinsey & Company to join start-up digital buying and planning company, iBalls Media, which later became Publicis Groupe’s Razorfish. She continued building her career on the media buying and planning side at MEC Global, until she shifted her focus to the publisher side with female lifestyle site, iVillage. Upon iVillage’s acquisition by NBCUniversal, Spitz began managing the West Coast and continuously built digital media partnerships with Fortune 500 brands. She earned bachelor’s degrees in both English and French at Lafayette College.

Carine will report to Dan Lagani, Mode Media’s president and chief revenue officer, and will be responsible for all Mode revenue from the Western region, which includes California, Arizona, Oregon, Washington, Nevada, and Colorado among others.
