IAB Co-founder and Digital Media Veteran to Lead Marketing as Glam Grows Its Digital Display Advertising Market Share

Silicon Valley, CA and New York, NY—September 22, 2008—Mode Media, pioneer of vertical content networks, today announced the promotion of Scott Schiller to EVP of Global Marketing as part of the company’s strategic reorganization to better align itself as the network that best delivers brand engagement for display advertisers. In this newly created position, Schiller, who helped build and lead Mode Media’s U.S. women’s advertising sales organization, will leverage the company’s substantial reach of women and its network of 640 sites that ranks as a top 10 Top Display Ad Publisher Site (comScore Ad Metrix, July 2008). Schiller will have responsibility for the Mode Media brand worldwide, and will report directly to CEO Samir Arora.

Prior to joining Mode Media, Schiller had more than 20 years of advertising, sales management and start-up media experience with some of the most esteemed names in entertainment, including Disney, AOL, Sony, Prodigy and MTV. Schiller is a founding member of the Interactive Advertising Bureau, and its first vice chairman. His agency and marketing experience includes several years in brand management for PepsiCo, Nestle and at Grey Advertising.

Glam has also realigned its sales organization to better meet the needs of agencies and brands. Promotions include John Trimble, formerly SVP of Fox Interactive and EVP of New Markets, North America Sales for Glam will take an expanded role leading the newly created Brand Advertising Sales Team for entertainment, the recently launched GlamTV, and continue to develop significant new markets that the company plans to announce later this year. Joe Lagani, former publisher of Conde Nast’s House & Garden who successfully launched Glam Living, will broaden his role and become Vice President, Brand Sales for Women for North America and also help recast Glam’s flagship Style channel (fashion, beauty and shopping). Also, Glam sales VP Jack Rotolo, who previously held sales roles with PepsiCo, Apple Computer and NetObjects, becomes Vice President of Agency Sales. In this role, Rotolo will be responsible for all digital agency relationships and sales.
