Industry Visionary to Lead Glam’s Technology Team Dedicated to Transforming Brand Advertising Online
BRISBANE, CA and NEW YORK, NY—February 4, 2008—Mode Media Corporation., (corp.mode.com), the category leader in women online, today announced that Dr. Kiumarse Zamanian joined the company as vice president of Glam Evolution Advertising Platform. Zamanian joins after leading Yahoo!’s product management team of media advertising infrastructure platforms. In this newly created position at Glam, Zamanian—a co-holder of three U.S. Yahoo! patents—will oversee the next stages of development of Glam Evolution, the Web’s first display ad platform for premium inventory—primetime placement and audience targeting on the Internet.

While at Yahoo!, Zamanian built and directed a new product team responsible for serving, targeting, logging/tracking and predicting inventory for graphical advertisements served on Yahoo! and its partner web sites. Prior to joining Yahoo! in 2004, Zamanian pioneered and directed the Informatica Developer Network as a global Web-based ecosystem for collaborative development of interoperable data integration solutions. Previously, he held product and program management and engineering leadership roles at Autodesk, Exxon and Unisys. Zamanian holds a Ph.D. degree in Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University and has taught a number of software and management courses at University of California Berkeley and Carnegie Mellon West.
Zamanian’s recruitment tops the recent build out of Mode Media’s technology team, which expands the company’s lead in delivering innovative technology platforms under its distributed media model of bridging hundreds of voices from the mid-tail internet to the leading brand advertisers. In addition, Glam is also appointing Ryan Roslansky, who previously was a key member of Yahoo’s product team and is a holder of a search monetization patent, as the vice president of products. In this role, Roslansky will be responsible for building Glam.com web sites, vertical channels, content programming and product design.
This technology team includes the hiring of Adam Souzis, co-founder of StyleMob and recognized XML and RDF standards authority, as executive director of Glam Labs, the technology research arm of Glam; and Wendy Mazzoni, former vice president of ad platform operations at Fox Interactive, as vice president of ad operations. In addition, Raj Narayan, one of Glam’s co-founders, has been promoted to vice president for engineering for Glam.com owned and operated web sites.
