Media companies connect with Glam’s highly-targeted vertical content network audience

Brisbane, CA and Cambridge, MA—May 29, 2008—Mode Media Corporation., the pioneer of vertical content networks and number one in reach for women online, and Brightcove, the leading global Internet TV platform, today announced a partnership that will enable Brightcove media customers to distribute ad-supported video content to Mode Media’s network of more than 64 million monthly uniques. The partnership leverages Mode Media’s new flagship service GlamTV, unveiled today in a separate announcement, which allows publishers in the Glam Network to access rights-cleared content and indie videos tightly packaged with brand advertising for their web sites.

Brightcove media customers, who represent some of the most highly sought-after premium news and entertainment programming on the Web, will be able to distribute video content to Mode Media’s vertical content network of 500 + trusted and influential web sites and blogs. “Glam has amassed a content network that reaches an audience that is key for brand building and highly desirable to marketers, said Brightcove chairman and CEO, Jeremy Allaire. “The partnership with Glam will open the door to exciting new distribution opportunities for our customers who can take advantage of the additional reach while at the same time retaining control over their advertising.”

“Brightcove’s Internet TV platform has become a standard among major media companies distributing high-quality commercial programming on the Web,” said Mode Media chairman and CEO, Samir Arora. “It only makes sense to establish a connection between the Brightcove platform and GlamTV, which will bring in-demand video programming to the 500+ lifestyle sites in our vertical content network that these sites can use to enhance their online offerings and unlock additional value.”
